Considering that Starbuck's is taking over the world, I guess it deserves it's very own page here on the blog. There are a lot of good choices at Starbuck's, but there are even more diet disasters - some might be surprising.
Here's a little quiz - Which is the smarter choice? a Zucchini Walnut Muffin or a Bacon, Gouda and Egg Frittata? How about a Hueveos Rancheros Wrap or a Greek Yogurt Honey Parfait?

HERE'S A LIST OF THE BEST STARBUCK'S CHOICES:
DRINKS:
- Drip Coffee - add your own calorie-free sweetener (Splenda) and low-fat milk, soy milk or a dash of half and half.
- Tazo Tea (any plain brewed tea - hot or iced) - order unsweetened and add your own calorie-free sweetener.
- Caffe Americano (iced or hot) - add your own calorie-free sweetener (Splenda) and low-fat milk, soy milk or a dash of half and half.
- Espresso or Espresso Macchiato - add your own calorie-free sweetener (Splenda) and low-fat milk, soy milk or a dash of half and half.
- Drip coffee topped w/ a dash of steamed milk and 1 Stevia
*I'm not a fan of "skinny" or low-fat drinks. They still have a lot of useless calories and sugar. But if you must... here's the best scenario - order a tall skinny flavored latte as a snack.

*Take a look at the amount of sugar and fat in the muffin! It's worse than a Snicker's bar. Surprisingly, the parfait is even higher in sugar than the muffin and the Snicker's.
Bacon, Gouda and Egg Frittata - 350 calories, 18 grams fat, 1 gram sugar, 17 grams protein
Zucchini Walnut Muffin - 480 calories, 28 grams fat, 28 grams sugar, 7 grams protein
Greek Yogurt Honey Parfait - 290 calories, 12 grams fat, 32 grams sugar, 8 grams protein
Hueveos Rancheros Wrap - 330 calories, 15 grams fat, 4 grams sugar, 16 grams protein

I'm a coffee addict! I love making coffee protein smoothies. Take chocolate protein powder and blend it with coffee and lots of ice! Sometimes I add milk and cocoa powder too. Like a Starbucks frap but healthier!
