Get Fit Tip



WATCH PORTION SIZES!
Hefty portions are the biggest cause of expanding waistlines in the United States. A typical meal out is more than enough to feed two, yet many people mindlessly clean their plate and even get dessert ;-/ This has become habit, it's just what we do. So, now is the time to break the cycle and only eat what you need. You'll probably surprised at how satisfied you are after a portion-controlled meal: no bloating, aching, crashes, etc. Food is fuel... don't overflow the tank.

Here are some common comparisons to help you "eyeball" portion sizes:
(Each comparison is for a single serving)
Protein = a deck of cards. 
Carbs- ( rice, pasta, oats, potato ) = a tennis ball or your fist.
Fats- ( A. oil,butter/ B. dressing, peanut butter) = A. tip of your thumb/ B. a ping pong ball 
Veggies- freebees, fill your plate.

Hey Ladies!

Welcome to the 2012 Get Fit Fall Challenge. This is my 3rd Girls Just Wanna Have Buns Challenge. The past two were extremely successful, with ladies losing up to 20lbs and dozens of inches.

This is a fun way to challenge yourself and each other. Through this blog, we can all keep in touch. Please feel free to post any and all questions that you have. Chances are, other ladies will have the same questions, so ask away.
